Before I started Ophelia, I was the quintessential opiate addict. I was a petty thief with nothing to my name, barely able to hold down an entry-level job. Switching to Suboxone was difficult. I had to adjust to life without the rush that prescription opiates provided. The walk-in clinic was less than ideal. You had to have appointments every week, and this made it near impossible to work full time. No employer wants to hear that you need 5 days off every month for Suboxone maintenance. Ophelia came along, I gave it a try. Instantly, I could tell the staff were well-versed in addition and dealing with addicts. The convenience of making appointments over Zoom calls blew traditional clinics out of the water. I worked my way up to become a supervisor for a plumbing company. I was able to easily make work/social commitments without having the stigma of being "in treatment". The appointments are quick, to-the-point, non-judgemental, and offer a real human connection. I have my own place now, a nice pickup truck, and an amazing girl by my side who gave birth to my little angel, my son. I have the family and career I always wanted, thanks to Ophelia. Anyone who is like me - willing to get help, but unable to make a traditional clinic work - I highly recommend Ophelia.

I am currently free from drugs 12 years because of the support of family and friends and medication options available to people in recovery. Since joining ophelia about 6 months ago I've become less stressed with time and dates for the appointments needed in person to recieve the medication. They are always a available no matter time or day they answer the call they respond to any and all messages and there are so many ways to contact them. They want to keep you on the right track and will give you an appointment that fits your schedule. I have enjoyed the experience with Ophelia and trust things will only get better with them. I really am impressed with Ophelia its been a little over a month since I have been with them and they are the first time I have ever used a tele-med or telehealth service. Besides the extra convenience of being home you still have great quality of service with a medical professional one on one.

I love it. They make it so convenient. But if u pay outta pocket it gets to be expensive. It’s damn near a hole car payment every month. And with things being so expensive now a days doesn’t help the fact. I get doctors need to get payed but if they really cared about peoples sobriety it would be a lot more affordable. But other than that it is a great program.

Great place to get help! The PA or NP I see monthly is phenomenal. Always uplifting, always helpful. Always looking for new ways to push forward to help you achieve your goals. Would recommend to anyone struggling with addiction, or any mental health issues. Pricing could be a little better, but they do take some insurances.

I have been going to Ophelia now for a long time and I don't think I would be where I am today without them. They are supportive and actually care about what's going on in your life and want to be sure you have your medicine to prevent relapse and cravings. And the appts are easy and I look forward to them as well. The entire team is fighting addiction right along side of you so you don't feel alone in anyway with this disease and the struggles you go through on this journey . Ophelia is one of the best things that has happened for me especially bc I live in a area with little care for addiction but so many addicts and a long long wait list to find any care and yet still would have to travel to see someone so having Ophelia is a true blessing .

Never faced such negligence and malpractice from an organization or it's NP, Helen "Nellie" Nutt. Was a patient of Ophelia for two years. At first, I was happy. This spring, I was discharged for nothing more than disagreeing with a Helen Nutt. I get terrible nausea from suboxone. Previous providers have always treated this with ondansetron - Helen refused over unjustified reasons. I disagreed with her. But still, I obtained clearance from a cardiologist and stopped taking my serotonergic antidepressant to resolve her concerns. I thought any rational prescriber would reconsider since the circumstances changed and the barriers to prescribing removed. I was discharged on the very next visit. Helen Nutt fraudulently claimed i was discarded because of "my mental health" - which by their own metrics (standard assessment forms before each visit) and by self reports to both Helen Nutt and my psych provider - solely indicated had steadily improved over the preceding months. She also cited my refusal to provide a release for my cardiologist (when in fact, I only said I wouldn't sign before speaking to him myself). Refusal to provide services because patients won't sign a release is a misdemeanor crime in NYS. I repeatedly asked for, from that day until last month: 1. the chance to work with another provider (Helen Nutt specifically said she would not work with me, though my disagreement with her protocols were always respectful, polite, and even tempered). 2. to speak to a clinical supervisor, and was told I could not. 3. Internal resolution procedures 4. Contact info for their oversight agencies They are required by either law or ethics to provide the above. However, at Ophelia, you get a text number for a contact, and it teaches any number of rotating non medical staff, and they relay messages to the provider. The clinical supervisor knows nothing of you beyond second or third hand information about you or your case- and you can't speak to him or her anyways. Helen Nutt had complete control, and used the anonymity of tech to bury her illegal and unethical discharge - successfully. Now I'm jobless, flunked outta college, and am being evicted from my home. I was buying suboxone until the money ran out. Soon I'll be at the Rescue Mission, surrounded by Heroin users and dealers. In withdrawal, I'm worried I'll relapse. Mind you, before Ophelia and Helen Nutt, I'd been clean almost a decade with never a relapse since rehab. I'd achieved an AS degree, was a substance abuse and mental health counselor working in the human services field. I was a straight A student from kindergarten through my AS in Human Services, and now have flunked every semester since, and will now never achieve my BA in psych. I'd had my home for 8 years. They wouldn't even send my records to the social security department for my disability claim! I've lost everything I built in recovery. Not all is Helen Nutt's and Ophelia's fault, but a large amount is. I intend to sue for malpractice, gross negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, falsification of business records, criminal mischief, and more - possibly filling a criminal complaint about the release signing matter. I pray I do not relapse and die. Sad thing is, because I needed them, I spent months trying to retain their services. Even now I'd erase this review and drop suit to have stable care again - heroin killed to many friends. I have recordings and transcripts from our visits - my computer does it automatically. I saved all the texts. I'll get my records one way or another eventually. A third party overheard my last appointment. I have stated only material fact - no opinions - every word about my experience, I can and will swear under oath in a court of law. Speaking truth can never be defamation, and i have proof my statements are accurate, so though this review be dam*ing, I expect Google to keep it and Ophelia to accept it or provide documentation I've spoken falsely. Only risk this provider with caution. You have no recourse against unscrupulous agents.
