“We have created a virtual care platform to have all of the evidence-based services needed for high-quality care that a patient would find in traditional brick and mortar settings — but we bring the care to them,” Dr. Arthur Robin Williams, Ophelia Health’s chief medical officer, said in a statement. “It is incredibly convenient. And our patients love our clinicians because they feel generally cared for.”

Both will have an immediate impact as we work to make lifesaving treatment accessible to more patients, especially those in underserved rural and Medicaid populations who need us most," said Zack Gray, Ophelia co-founder and CEO.
“Bringing this into the home may not be quite as robust and nuanced as in-person care,” but it is necessary, Dr. Williams, Ophelia’s medical director said. “The U.S. has 40,000 to 45,000 people dying from opioid overdoses every year,” he continued. “We haven’t done anything at the level needed, and it’s been 20 years.”
